Your First Paycheck Was Just the Beginning.

My First Paycheck is a personal finance blog built for people who are figuring it out as they go — because nobody hands you a financial playbook when you turn 18.

Why This Blog Exists

Most financial advice online is written for people who already have money. It assumes you have a 401(k), a financial advisor, and a spare $10,000 sitting around. That’s not most of us.

My First Paycheck was built for the person staring at their first real paycheck wondering where it all went. For the college student juggling student loans and a part-time job. For the 20-something trying to figure out if they should pay off debt or start investing. For anyone who wants to get serious about money — without needing a finance degree to understand it.

Who This Is For

You’re in the right place if you’ve ever:

  • Gotten to the end of the month and wondered where your money went
  • Googled “should I have a savings account” at 2am
  • Avoided checking your bank balance because you didn’t want to know
  • Wanted to start investing but had no idea where to begin
  • Felt like everyone else had their finances figured out except you

Spoiler: they don’t. You’re just the one doing something about it.

What You’ll Find Here

No jargon. No judgment. Just real, actionable content covering:

  • Budgeting — building a system that actually works for your life
  • Saving — how to save even when it feels like there’s nothing left
  • Debt — understanding it, managing it, and getting out of it
  • Investing — starting from zero and building something real
  • Career & Income — making more so you have more to work with

Let’s Build Something

Financial freedom isn’t reserved for people who were born into the right circumstances. It’s built — one decision at a time, one paycheck at a time. You started by showing up here. That already puts you ahead.

Welcome to My First Paycheck. Let’s get to work.
